What a slicker brush is actually for
The fine, angled pins reach past the topcoat into the undercoat, where loose fur and early mats form — a flat brush mostly skims the surface.
Use it right
- Gentle pressure — the pins are fine enough to nick skin if pressed hard, especially over bony areas (hips, spine).
- Short strokes in the direction of growth, not digging in circles.
- 2–3 times a week for short coats, daily during shedding season.
